Happy monday friends! The recent cold & gloomy weather has been inspiring me to make WARM meals! There is nothing better than a delicious crock pot or oven meal once fall & winter roll around (not to mention I am trying to do everything I can to occupy myself waiting for this baby to come!) Here’s a little look into some of the meals I’ve tried recently. Some of these recipes were found online but others we created ourselves, if you would like more info on the recipes feel free to message me! PS – Is it lunch time yet? 😛
Since football season started one of our favorite days has become Sunday; we make it our “judge free eat and lounge day.” Reid got a kick ass meat smoker for his birthday so he will normally smoke some type of meat and we will create fun recipes out of it and eat our little hearts out! (The baby loves it!!!) The second best part of this day is pants are optional, like I said, it’s a judge free zone 😉
We have a few more DIY projects were looking to start here soon so I am excited to share them with you all soon! Thanks for reading cuties.
Let me start this post off with saying that I am SO in love with this nursery!!! I find myself opening the door all the time just to peak in and smile! I cannot wait to raise our little boy in here…I’m actually a little bit jealous this gets to be his room 😉 As you can tell from our recent home renovations I am a little bit obsessed with the white and grey shabby chic look. My overall goal was for this to be a calming and happy space, very important for mama and baby!
I found a lot of joy in getting to do some of the nursery decor ourselves. As shown in some of my previous posts, Reid built and stained the bookshelves as well as the open shelves over the changing table. I got to paint the giraffes over his sweet crib along with the black and white animals on the canvas’ above the changing table. A lot of thought and love went into creating my dream nursery and I am so excited to share it with all of you. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
In honor of being a month plus away from little man’s delivery date I thought I would share some of my recent maternity outfits! Dressing a bump can be very difficult but I have tried to make the most of it. Fall came around at the perfect time this year because all my dresses were starting to become a tad bit short. Not to mention, I LOVE a good sweater, scarf, and boot combo! I also am thoroughly enjoying the hat trend this season…there is such a great selection! I have focused a lot of my recent shopping on accessories. Once I hit 30 weeks, buying clothes seemed like a waste of money so I have been making the most of what I have and accessorizing to make the perfect outfit. The wonderful thing about fall is that you can pair a non-maternity sweater with one of your maternity tees or tanks and add a scarf, hat, or boots to really make it pop! Below are some photos I have taken over the past few weeks. I linked where I got several of the items if you are interested! Please excuse the horrible phone selfies for some of them, but hey I have to work with what I’ve got! 🙂
