Reminiscing on 2016

HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all!  This past year was amazing and it’s crazy to think 2017 has the potential to be even better.  We get to meet our second sweet baby boy this spring and I cannot wait!

As the crazy human/dog mom that I am I was just recently going through my phone pictures and you guys…I have over 8000 photos ON MY PHONE ALONE!  What is wrong with me?!  Reid always makes fun of me because any time the puppies are sleeping in a cute position or Auggie does something adorable (which is every 5 minutes in my opinion) I have to capture it!  I definitely need to be better about living in the moment, but it’s so fun to share our little ones with family & friends.  Plus I have to stock up so I can embarrass Auggie in front of his future girlfriends 🙂

Some of my favorite big time bloggers who I adore did similar posts and I thought what a cute idea!  I just wanted to take a trip down memory lane from 2016 and share some of my favorite moments with you all!

Favorite memories:

Taking Auggie to the tulip fields in La Conner, he was so amazed by the vibrant flowers, it’s so fun to watch your child explore the world

My first time leaving Auggie to visit Reid in Key West for the weekend, I was terrified to leave him so young but I did not regret the time I got to spend one on one with my husband!

Celebrating the marriage of my brother & sister-in-law, it was such a beautiful event, and great to see friends & family from across the states

Summer time backyard hangouts with Auggie and our pups, he loved getting in our party bucket to cool off, and the dogs love lounging on the grass, could they all be any cuter? (Bias mom comment)

Auggie turned ONE!  We had a super special day at the zoo and celebrated with pizza & delicious cupcakes after, it’s definitely a day to be remembered, especially the bird aviary..Auggie kept trying to reach out and grab the birds!

Our first family trip to California to visit friends, Auggie LOVED the beach!  (Except for when he tried to eat the sand)

Christmas tree farm, this is an event I look forward to every single year, and this year was my favorite yet because we got to enjoy it with our little dude, even though it was pouring and freeeeezing.

The first SNOW of the year, Auggie loved it, for 5 minutes, then we were done

Finding out we are having another BOY!  I cannot wait to have these two grow up together and be best friends.  Plus that means I get to be the princess of the house right?

Our holiday family photo, it’s always such a disaster trying to get everyone to cooperate, including Reid!  I always love how they turn out because it captures our family perfectly, aka perfect photos DON’T exist!

New Years Resolutions:

Savor every moment with my family, life is too short!

Put more time & effort into my blog

Live a healthier lifestyle, nothing feels better than eating natural food & having a consistent workout routine

Have more date nights, it’s hard to leave your babies but they were built on the relationship with your spouse and it’s easy to forget that

What are some of your resolutions this year?  I would love to hear!

Thanks for readings guys!  I am currently working on the farmhouse dining table plans with Reid and we will get that posted ASAP!  I can’t wait to share with you all.

Xoxo,

Kristin
